Am I Eligible?
Because the mission and vision of HorizonQuest is fairly specific, we want to be very straight-forward about our expectations of your participation in the week. Our efforts at signing you up will, therefore, reflect the hopes, dreams, and expectations that we believe are central to the week.
The retreat week is designed for small groups of men (ideally four to six men) to experience a growing, deepening commitment to each other, as each man explores and deepens his own relationship to Christ. We want to help you "get your heart back" and to commit to protecting and fighting for the hearts of your brothers. Therefore, signing up for a HorizonQuest week is a group process.
If you are already a part of a small group that would like to attend a HorizonQuest week, great, let's get started! Contact us via email (please see our "contact us" link) so that we can get the process going. We have some specific information we'd like to get from you, and we need to look at the possible weeks that are available for your "Band of Brothers." We'll give you the password for our "log-in" page that will allow you to download the various information sheets, waiver forms, packing list, etc. for your week.
If you are not already part of a small group, don't panic! We'd like to encourage you to form your own "Band of Brothers." Spend some time in prayer with a few other men that you'd like to join you in this journey. Talk with them about your desire. Visit the HorizonQuest website with them and talk about your hopes to create a Brotherhood to join the Quest! Read Wild and Heart and Waking the Dead by John Eldredge. Spend time in discussion with your new group about what you find in those books. Then, when your group is ready to make a commitment to one another, we are ready to help you learn about being a "Band of Brothers" at a HorizonQuest retreat!
